Edmond, Oklahoma - The Westminster Pipe Band of Oklahoma was pleased to compete at the 38th Annual Chicago Scottish Highland Games Grade 3 pipe band competition.
The competition was held on June 15, 2024 at the DuPage County Fairgrounds and 39 bands from U.S. and Canada participated. The band competition is one of the largest in North America.
This was Westminster’s inaugural competition. It was a beautiful, although warm at-times, Chicago Saturday. Westminster achieved third-place having competed in a march, strathspey and reel and a 3-5 minute medley selection. The Band was pleased with its third-place finish and the Best Bass/Midsection award.

It was great seeing old friends and meeting new ones and awesome hearing some great
music by some of the top pipe bands in the World. It was a special treat to see friend Kenny McLeod of McCallum Bagpipes present, lending support to the Band and the U.S. pipe band scene.
